My journey began in Stockholm, Sweden. In 1984 I moved to the US living both on the East and West Coast for 26 years. I am now back in Stockholm since 2010. So far it has been a great journey.
For most of my life I have worked with business. Then in 2001 I discovered my passion for painting when I took a painting class in Stockholm. After that I was hooked. I had my first show that same year in a café in San Francisco and the second show in Stockholm the following summer. Since then my work has been shown in Stockholm, San Francisco, Paris and Montreal. I have had buyers from eleven countries around the world. (Sweden, USA, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Mexico, China)
Painting satisfies my inherent need for creative expression. It feeds my soul and sets me free. When I paint there are no rules for me. I just paint. I do it my way.
I love colors! Whilst I continually evolve my style of painting, the use of bold and interesting colors is always at the heart of the work. My paintings are for the most part abstract, and as such, it is the color palette and the movement they inspire that create the emotion.
I mainly work with acrylic on canvas, plexiglas and photos because there are endless possibilities available.
Inspiration can come in many forms for me: nature, music, travel, landscapes and the unexpected.
As an artist my objective is to make art that evokes emotion and connects with the viewer in a way that is personal to them.
